Im looking to order new gears for my car, but do i get them for a 2 series carrier or a 3 series carrier? How do i tell which one i have?

BTW, there is an rpo code GU2 which is the 2.73 axle ratio, and im going to a 3.73 ratio.

You have a 2 series, and you need a 3 series to run 3.73's. You can get 3.73's with a thicker ring gear to fit a 2 series carrier, but you have to ask for them specifically and a lot of places don't have them.

So then i could use these gears without changing the carrier?

I won't garuntee they fit, but going by his description, yes they will. They are described as being 3.73s for a "2" series carrier which is what you need.

Agreed. They will fit ACCORDING TO WHAT HE SAYS. You'll have to go on trust that he's not an idiot or scammer. However, FWIW, in the pic it looks like the ring gear is thicker than normal. That would indicate a 2-series gearset.
