Hi- I'm an olfa (oldfart:) ). My wife just had back surgery and
finds the ride of our 2kz28conv to be pretty harsh ( my kidneys
aren't what they used to be either). We love to drive and use
the car as a high speed touring car- rear seat removed with a
cover/ headrest fairing for less backwash and more storage.
Any thoughts on softer springs (v6?) or shocks? Would adj
springs set on soft be less harsh than the stock springs?
Anyone have any experience/advice/thoughts? We tried out
a 02 Corv conv with adj susp- on the touring setting it was
quite a bit softer than the Z- also the seats were softer/plusher-
has anyone done a swap? Thanks, Gene.

Hrm. I can tell you what not to do. Eibach springs (the really low ones) w/ bilstens. I'm 20 and considering going back to stock springs.
I really don't know what could do it for you, but here's a ttt hoping you get your answer.

Go to a junk yard and get a set of T/A seats ... you'll be suprised at the ride difference ...

You could put the QA1 12 way adjustable shocks all the way around. On soft settings it's a little bouncy but not as harsh.
Not cheap either.

They used to be called Hals. They're a billet aluminum, rebuildable, 12 way adjustable replacement shock. And the fronts are like a coil over in that there is an adjustment ring to adjust ride height.
Check them out on our sponser's web sites. T Byrne had a group purchase on them recently.

You guys honestly think the stock Z28 suspension is that harsh? You don't happen to work over at Consumer Reports, do you?
