Question IS there a way to make these TA foglight bulbs not melt my housing?

I just got the follwing bulbs, they're a 37.5 wattage, that is supposedly safe to use with my stock voltage. (thats what the auction said anyways)

The colour temperature is listed 3850K

Will these melt my TA foglight housing? Is there a way I can not have them do that other than not putting them in?

How long does it take for them to melt my housing if they would melt it....

There is nothing you can do unless you can defy physics. Putting in a higher wattage bulb that gives off more heat into a cheap plastic housing will cause it to melt.

There are many different aftermarket bulbs that come in a metal and glass housing. You can spend as little as $39.99 for the Cyberwhite bulbs (which is what I have, pix in link in sig), or you can approach $200 for some PIAA bulbs.

How about if I use them sparingly....

Like, how quick are we talkin here that they'll melt the housing? 5 minutes? an hour?
