I am kicking around the idea of getting a LS6 head, either the factory job or the Holley/L-felter LS1 aluminum one. Anybody have one? Notice a difference? Thanks for the info.

I havent seen too many cars with untouched engines pick up much, maybe 5 HP, which seems low for 500 bucks to me. If you had heads/cam or at least cam you would probalby pick up a decent amount. I would go with headers first.

Stock LS6 heads probably would not give you much of a gain.

Our GM sponsor over at www.ls1tech.com (http://www.ls1tech.com) has provided a lot of info regarding the GM CNC LS6 heads... Now THESE heads are making some power! They are like $1800 for a pair of them...

I am putting on some ARE Stage III LS6 heads (11.7:1) on my 422ci iron block hopefully my missing MPH will be found.
