I am planning on putting a factory CD changer on my car in a couple of weeks, and I am trying to get a good price for the changer and wiring harness. The cheapest I have found so far is GM Parts Direct .com for $427 for the changer and another $40 for the harness. Do you all know of a place where I can get one cheaper? Thanks.

Try www.radiosandmore.com They have the stock changer for $360 including shipping the last time I checked.
Why do you need a new harness? If you have a '97-up F-Body, the car is prewired for it already. The plug should be taped up behind the driver's side back panel.
Check out the FAQ's in the Electronics Forum over at www.ls1.com for more information.

Thanks. I found the wire connections last night, but I think the harness is required to hook the Changer into the car... I think. At, least, that is what they told me at the parts counter... Please let me know if I don't need the extra wiring harness. Thanks.

Here we go, the parts department at my local delership told me that I need a harness GM part number 12344015 to install a factory CD changer. My car is prewired, so do I need this harness to install the changer? Thanks.

if you're gonna spend over 300 for the factory why not just get a better clarion or something else.....i got my clarion for around 220

I thought about it, but I want to be able to use my steering wheel controls, and I don't want an RF modulator.

Your parts department isn't entirely correct. You do need a harness, but that's the harness you found in your trunk, so you don't need another one.
Buy the changer from Radios And More, plug it in, and you're set. Steering wheel controls will work and all.
