Will it give me any gains over the cat-back besides sound? When I had my '97 Z there was a time when I took the muffler off and ran straight pipes. I felt like I lost some power especially in the lower end. Will I notice any loses with a cut-out? Thanks guys.

With my dual / dual, I picked up MPH in the 1/4 mile with my cutout open, but had better times with my cutout closed. There are other factors though, and I don't really have enough runs with both combos to draw a conclusion.
I don't notice any loss of power at the lwo end with the cutout open.

at first it feels like a loss of power because 1. it idles lower and 2.it's a lot louder.

I track-tested my SLP dual/dual vs. the cutout numerous times when I had stock internals, and everytime I had the same results: no change in ET or MPH with the cutout open vs. closed. However, I did see 10 RWHP with the cutout open after I added a cam. I still like the dual/dual for it's stealthiness. http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif
