just found this... innnnnnterestingtalos 07-09-2003, 07:55 PM Just saw this on a 2ndgen site seems very interesting, i kinda like it. 5th gen concept (http://www.sub300.com/gm/ss33.jpg) raene 07-09-2003, 08:00 PM Very much yes! But it looks too much like a Viper to actuall go through :D Pandamonkey 07-09-2003, 09:13 PM I agree - very Viperish.........I like Vipers though......neat to see a Camarper, or Vimaro......;) Erik 07-09-2003, 09:38 PM The front looks kind of weird... I can't quite put my finger on it. Overall, I do like it though. sideways_Into_3rd 07-09-2003, 09:46 PM its got the sebring headlights .. and 2nd gen tails .. i love the 2nd gen tails .. but the headlights could use some work i love it very very much overall .. although i like the other concept better that took off on the 1st gen body style .. talos 07-09-2003, 09:59 PM i agree looks likea mix between sebring and ls1 headlights.... the rear looks like the 77 camaro. but i really like it, i LOVE the 1st gen concept thats floating around z2point8 07-09-2003, 10:15 PM While so many others are doing retro 1st gen designs, this person took time to create something that looks retro second gen I like it, Very Cool!!! blue 79 Z/28 07-10-2003, 03:18 AM i love it!! id buy it just for the back end  Drumhawk 07-10-2003, 09:59 AM It looks like my old RS SS 70 Z28. It was custom but this new one looks great. Let's get them rolling off the line. Steve in Seattle 07-11-2003, 10:19 AM YES!!!! ... but it'll never sell. That concept just targets the very people who already bought a 4th gen IMHO. This isn't gonna sway any new clients beyond the small muscle-car segment we already have. If there is to be any chance of the 5th gen reappearing and staying around (instead of the retro/cancelled attempts like the Ford Cougar and Ford Thunderbird) they'll need to give more cabin room, less hood, and world-class performance on par or better than the 2002's did. Nice sketch, love the car, but for GM I doubt they'd go for it. The GTO on the other hand has a MUCH better chance of staying around, as long as they get a LS6 wedged in there and throw on some hood scoops. :) (ricers love scoops, old people will get nostalgic over the scoop/name deal, and even us 20-30 bracket guys with money to blow on a fast car can dig it in a modern-performance way... come on, who doesn't love the WS6? :)) 97TA-WS6-Con 07-11-2003, 11:15 AM I like the retro look a lot but Steve is right. it will not be a high volume seller. THAT being said, it does not have to be a high volume machine. On of the primary problems for the 4th gen was that Quebec was tooled for about 150,000 - 200,000 cars a year and of course at the end they were selling about 75,000 per year I believe. It IS possible to make a car profitable with more modest sales but the plant has to be the right 'size'. In other words, if they targetted 30,000 - 50,000 sales a year and built the car at the right plant to ensure profitablity, it could be viable. One assumes that the Viper is profitable for Chrysler Mind you, I have not been paying attention to the industry lately. Are you guys saying the T-bird is already a sales flop? pimpedoutracer 07-11-2003, 05:40 PM i love it:bow:  Tw!tchb!tch 07-11-2003, 07:02 PM That new T bird is pretty sad imo . I never liked the look of the original , I did like the late model supercoups though they were neet cars . If theres one retro I would love to see make production its the Charger concept . . . err might have been challenger , that thing was dope  | ||
