How would you determine which gauge power and ground wires to use for the amp, when I bought the car it already had 10gauge in it, the amp is an MTX TH2150XRMS at 2 ohms is 150x2. I think the length is important too aint it the longer the thicker it needs to be? I'll be running it in the back if it matters. Would I be better off goin to some 8 gauge? Thanks for any input.

The total draw is about 43amps, and i'll need about 15-16ft. More importantly will I notice a difference with 8guage over 10, if the amp seems to be getting enough power, it's pretty bassie as it is, will it be even more bassie, or will it improve the overall sound w/8g? Thanks for the help.

The bigger the better:D

The same thing goes for speaker wire. I had my whole system wired with regular 18 ga speaker wire, then I rewired everything with 12 ga competion speaker wire and it sounded like a completly different system. You can have the best amp in the world and with out the right wires, it wont work to its full potential. Its like trying to put out a forrest fire with a garden hose:p
