I believe Texlurch is running two "diesel" turbos. Don't know what size they are.

thats a pretty intersting buildup..........looks like hes also injecting some sort of cooling into the system (the guy building it starts posting on the 3rd page as "baldturbofreak")...........weird..............wonder how itll work out.

Ya that guy has balls, for his intercooler he is using an AC system to act as the coolant for the liquid to air intercooler. I don't know the specidfics, but he has designed a whole speperate system just for the intercooler.
Should prove interesting.

I was introduced to the concept of using the A/C system while reading on the forth coming F*rd Lightning. It seems to really make sense. I'd love some info on how to make that work with a tradition supercharger system on an LT1. Combine that with water injection, and you could really make some extra power, and increase the longevity of your motor.:)

I can launch in 2nd and at about 3/8 throttle the tires start hazing. Right now 1st is pretty much unusable , as soon as the throttle is stabbed, it zings into the rev limiter faster than I can shift.
I read thru that entire thread.. I love all the guys saying he can't run 10 psi on his LT1.. hell he lowered his compression down to 10, I am running 12 psi on stock compression and 93 octane. Motor loves it so far!
Just keeping an eye on the plugs for any warning signs..
Turbo off diesels work fine, if sized correctly. ;)

Now this is the funniest thing I've read in that thread:
" Obvioulsly has NEVER spent any time with the 4L60E
Those things with a mild build up will hold 1000hp every day no prob. I know of a twin turbo C4 Vette with 1126rwhp that's been running (and seriously dragging) on a mildly built 4L60E for 6 years. "Not built to handle more power"? Man, are you trying to sound like you don't know sh*t about Vettes and GM? Cause it's working. "
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
My stock 4L60E blew with just over 400 ft/lbs. Mildly built 4L60E running for 6 years on 1100+HP LMAO......I needed a good laugh today!

I remember reading in Hot Rod a year or so ago about turbos. They had a picture of a turbo off an oil tanker, and the outlet of the compressor was 13 feet in diameter, and the inlet, well there was a guy inside of it.
It made something like 5 psi, but flowed like 600 lbs/min.....just insane.
