Is there 2 versions of the NX remote bottle opener???

I just received my opener yesterday and I plan on mounting it on a Compucar bottle. I gear that replaces the twist opener is rather tall and I don't see how it can be held in place. My NX motor and gear are black. I've seen purple NX openers that have a gear the same height as the twist opener (significantly shorter than the one I got). Did they send me the wrong kit???

Hummm....that sounds like an older version. The newer version is shorter and wider.

I talked to a NX tech last night and he said that the purple version is for NEX bottles. He also tod me that I have to fabricate the collar to fit on the bottle. I used a dremel last night and everything fits fine. Now I just have to decide where to mount the switch (I ran out of room because of the other 6 switches I have).

Mine is purple and it fits my NX and NOS bottles fine......anyway glad you got it worked out.
