yeah, when u open the bottle it will leak if u have a loose connection. Open the bottle, listen around, put your finger on all the connections to see if u can feel it. When u find the leak, tighten it up

900-1050 is good
94DROPTOPZ28 07-09-2003, 06:57 AM If its leaking by the bottle nut maybe try putting 2 washers in there and when you do I know it sounds funny but lick your fingers and rub it on the washers before you put them in and it works

I just had that problem and I did this. I found the connection from the car line to the bottle was the issue. Not exactly the line itself, but the part that is on the bottle. The line wasn't seating properly to the bottle because I had disconnected and connected it so many times (and so clumsily), it had ruined the seating, therefore causing a leak. I fixed this problem by replacing the connector that seats to the line from the car.. If that makes any sense. Anyway, open the bottle wide. Another thing you can do is if it's cool enough, the nitrous should turn the area white (just in case you can't feel it). I went through every threading and taped them as well, but it took a plumber friend to figure out what was wrong. Luckily he was there! :)

you're lucky. well, i dont open my bottle that much anyway. but still, nitrous is too damn expensive to be thrown away like that:mad:
MydnightMyst 07-10-2003, 07:38 PM I agree, but when you're hot after a leak, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.. hehehe..
I opened the bottle all the way for only a few seconds. Long enough to either pinpoint where the sound was coming from or to see where it was coming from.. :)
I tried everything to fix it myself, but, like I said, it was my plumber friend who found the exact place and fixed it. Bless his heart!
Wild1 07-11-2003, 11:52 PM I'd recommend soapy water either spray or pour on... You'll see bubbles at the leak... good luck.

Thats what I did.You guys should'nt be using pipe tape on your N20 fittings. The tape can clogge the noids, use pipe dope instead, its a cream type sealant.
Wild1 07-13-2003, 12:46 PM That's what I was told too. NX sells a special pipe thread sealant that doesn't disintegrate into the solenoids or end up in the nozzle.
funina91ss 07-13-2003, 12:51 PM The NX stuff is like thread locker once you put it on its hard to get off.(if its the same stuff they put in with the kit)
Wild1 07-13-2003, 12:56 PM I can see using that on everything but the main bottle fitting. If it is tough to get off then that will tear up the threads after a few uses.
