TMD95Z28 07-07-2003, 12:26 PM hey guys, i have a question..
last night i met this guys with a 2002 camaro.. its a v6 but it came with a factory turbos.. i don't get it, is there any v6 with turbos that came stock or factory fittings from the chevrolet..
what i mean is that, he told me that he bought the car already had a turbo in it(from the chevrolet).. and it pushes 350+ hp..
he also said that the car kinda have the police cars specification<=== i think he said that..
is that true???
thanks in advance

Slappy3243 07-07-2003, 03:28 PM That guy has no idea what he is talking about. Yes, his car may have a turbo, but it sure as hell didn't come from the dealer like that. Tell him to shut up because lying about that crap is just annoying.

96fbirdA4 07-07-2003, 04:33 PM The "police specifications" would be referring to the B4C Police Package, but that was only available on V8 cars. No V6's.
As for the turbo, its 99.99999% chance that he's BSing you. Unless he went totally custom, his 2002 Camaro doesn't have a turbo. He for sure didn't get it new from a dealer with a turbo.
blue95 07-07-2003, 07:45 PM and he did this with a straight face?!?!?!
haha ask him for factory specs on what it is supposed to run in a 1/4
MustangEater82 07-07-2003, 07:58 PM NO option for it thugh I dids see a 300hp bonneville at a delaership awhile back, ws a supercharged 3.8L but thats a bit of a boost in HP, also had an upgraded suspension and bigger brakes.
Maybe the delaer did the upgrade? E9ither way its most likely B.S. offer to race him for $10, you will either win $10 or find out he has a rare and wierd car.
99blackSS 07-07-2003, 08:17 PM Its not factory. Just ask him to pop the hood. I always look under the hood when people make claims like that. When a kid at school kept claiming he had a V8 in his oldsmobile which could beat my V6 Camaro I kept hassling him to open the hood. Eventually he opened it, he was 4 cylinders short of a V8.
TMD95Z28 07-08-2003, 09:11 AM oh i forgot to mention this... the turbos are underneath his engine..
when i looked under the hood... theres no intercooler and to turbos, so i asked him wheres the turbos??? he told me it was underneath<== somewhere under the car or something...
i was confused, as theres no way u can installed a turbos under an engine right???
GoghUA 07-08-2003, 03:04 PM That's worse than my story I was gonna tell...
Oh well, I'll tell it anyway...
I was hanging out with my gf and a bunch of her friends the other night. One of the girls had brought along some guy that she had met the night before. Well, we were the only two guys there, so we started talking... He mentioned that he had a Camaro, and I said oh really, I have a 94, what year is yours. He answered "2000". I said, "nice, so do you have the LS1? because mine is just a 3.4L..." His answer, "no, I also have a V6... it is a 4.3" I said "Wow, you put a 4.3 in it?!?" he replied... "nope, that is stock." I said "Wow, really, I didn't know they put a 4.3 in the camaro!?! :bs:" He went on to say "oh yeah, and I plan on putting a supercharger on it"
:bs:
HA HA!! Good luck with that...
