I just found out about this today. PACER (http://www.pacer.ca/) (some group trying to fight street racing) is hosting a day of 1/8 mile drag racing (link (http://pacerprogram.brinkster.net/mosport.html)) at Mosport speedway on July 27th. This is the first time I've ever heard of official drag races being held at Mosport, and it's great because it's so much closer than going to either Cayuga or Shannonville, especially for guys in the GTA and Durham region. Hopefully if the event draws enough people, it would demonstrate the huge need for a track in this area, and maybe influence various groups into investing money to actually build a proper dragstrip here.

Well, I just thought I should let some of you guys know;). It would be nice to have local drag races instead of driving 2 hours to the closest track:rolleyes: (or taking the risks of street racing:().

Hope to see some of you there! :)

You might want to post this over at LS1.com in the Great Lakes Forum too. There are a large number of Torontonians who frequent that forum.

BTW: Thanks for the info.

That's fine................just gotta be 100% STREET LEGAL, and NO NITROUS --- those are the main rules;) (and the no nitrous rule will really eliminate a lot of the "fast" Hondas!:p).

I'm looking forward to running my car against my dad's though:D...............we're both not sure which car will win??? My loss of traction, or his bad shifting could win or lose the race!!:p
