hey guys lately ive had to replace almost everything involving the cooling system on my car a 94 3.4 liter, i replaced the water pump when it when first , then the thermostat becuase i was leaking antifreeze and it was a cheap way to see if that was the cause, then the radiator because it was still leaking , then right after i did the radiator my car started making a pinging noise like im low on oil , and then the car would not want to rev above 3000 rpm ( i have a 5 speed) and the gas pedal shakes like crazy when i apply pressure to it , so i dropped it off at the shop thursday before the july 4th holiday and that day the mechanic left a message saying he didnt know what happend to the car but it sounds like the motor is junk, if anyone knows can they tell me what a rebuild will cost? and do you think my constant overhearting problems killed the motor? or is it the fact that it has 151,000 miles on it

if the mechanic says the motor is junked, you could get a second opinion..

personally, i would take the old engine out sell all the parts that wont swap over and drop in somthing else.

if they says its junk and your gonna rebuild it buy a rebuilt motor and tranny and find someone to put it in for you it wont be worht it if the shop does it. if my tranny is screwed im going to put in the engine and tranny i bought along time ago for 1,500 you can get a lt1 for that much, most shops dont rebuild them they try to get you to buy new ones
