Draco 07-04-2003, 12:59 PM Hey guys,
I am going to be hitting the dyno rollers at 330pm today at Rezniks. I am running a 9 PSI non-intercooled setup, and hoping for 450-500 rwhp.
Just giving you guys a heads up in case you want to check it out.
I will NOT be running the Nitrous on top of the blower because I just don't have the fuel pump capacity at this time.
ollie-99 07-04-2003, 01:04 PM nice good to hear!!!
good luck on the rollers

Draco 07-04-2003, 04:58 PM The address is 1655 Broadway 120
Basically from North Van take the United Blvd exit right before the Port Mann Bridge, and follow the Mary Hill Bypass until you get to Broadway. Turn left and drive about 1/2km

hey since we have identical HP #s me and u should be head to head .. lets find out :D
NiteRider 07-04-2003, 08:34 PM So what are the numbers?
Camaro ChriSS 07-04-2003, 08:37 PM I wish I heard about this earlier. I was up around Reznick's around that time...
I look forward to seeing your numbers. Good luck.
Draco 07-04-2003, 08:40 PM OK here are the results:
first pull (let off early at 5000 IAT climbed to about 70 degrees C):
peak TQ 463 at 5000
peak HP 442 at 5000
This would have been the vbest run for power if we had gone to 6k.... oh well.
2nd pull (let off early at 5700 IAT climbed to 85 degrees C)
peak TQ 460 @ 4800
peak HP 470 @ 5700
3rd pull (let off at 6000, IAT climbed to 103 degrees C!!!!!)
peak TQ 458 @ 4800
peak HP 467 @ 5500
A/F ratios were 12.2 all the way to the end on all of the runs so the tune is looking pretty good as-is.
As you can see my IAT's are getting way too hot and that is bringing down my power... Gotta get an intercooler, even with 9 lbs of boost! My TQ should be peaking at around 5500 rpm, not 4800.
So, it looks like I am sitting at 470 rwhp for now, and I am happy with this on a nice conservative (rich) tune. Let's see what the track says!
CoryM 07-04-2003, 08:54 PM Cool craig. Glad to see things are working out for you. Nothing exploded and caught fire :D . Good #s man. Forget the intercooler, just spray some nice, cold nitrous in there ;) . What lb injectors you have now and what do you think you need?
CoryM
Draco 07-04-2003, 09:01 PM I am running 50lb injectors. They were hitting approx 85% duty cycle, so they are about right in terms of size.
I am probably gunna hook the Nitrous up again and run a 75 shot or so. My fuel pressure was fine up to 6k rpm, and I will hook up the FP safety switch to be safe. Hopefully the nitrous will help cool the intake charge a little bit also ;).
THis is a wet kit so the injector duty cycle will not be affected.
bunker 07-04-2003, 10:23 PM Congrats man, those are pretty ok numbers, get an IC in there :)
Camaro ChriSS 07-04-2003, 10:49 PM You have a real nice set up Craig. I am truly jealous.
Congrats on everything being so smooth. You've obviously done a great job (and those that helped you too, if there was help).
Intercooler. I agree.
Awesome numbers man:thumb:
raene 07-05-2003, 01:00 AM What is it with you domestic guys and not running an IC!! Sheesh! Some import guys even run ICs without being boosted! ;)
Seriously though, nice #s! Even a small shot of nitrous will help out majorly... however I've heard more than one story of a blower exploding from nitrous being plumbed through it. Just be careful!
Zedzag 07-05-2003, 01:27 AM Damn I'm jealous of all you 400+ rwhp guys. Nice numbers Craig..all that work is paying off. Get some tires:p
Tw!tchb!tch 07-05-2003, 01:52 AM  ah **** I wanted to see you pull . I had to go get some primer on a couple jobs for tomorow so they could dry overnight and just got back  GAY!!! Those are some ****ING WICKED NUMBERS MAN !!!! Just think how much faster u will be at ax with a full 4X too much power :p
Tw!tchb!tch 07-05-2003, 01:56 AM Some import guys even run ICs without being boosted!
Some import guys run guages without anything hooked up too :irk: :Owned:
Draco 07-05-2003, 02:13 AM Thanks guys! I really couldn't have made it this far without the help and encouragement of the denizens of this board. I hope I can return the favor sometime, so ask for my help if you need it!
Matt, Armen and I worked on a little cooling spray just now (approx a 100 shot) and went for a rip. All I can say is I wish I had this hooked up for the dyno runs :D
Raene, no worries about the blower not liking the nitrous - we are spraying after the blower so it should be fine.

LOL!! :D Nothing beats having a naturally aspirated car with a boost gauge! All the looks without any of the bad gas mileage or annoying "psssh" sounds, what more could any F&F lover want?!?

LuCiFeR97Z28 07-05-2003, 04:21 PM Congrats Craig, nice to see everything is coming together nicely. By the way, I was closest guessing the numbers :D.

I have had that going for 2 years now, lol  I should install one of the blower kits I buy ;)
Craig get some stickies and let your track times prove it :thumb: Your car moves and you can definately tell there is more power to be found
ollie-99 07-08-2003, 11:19 AM Congrats on the #'s
