cam choice

i know nitrous cams are more usefull on large shots, but im looking for a cam that will be stock sounding, with ported heads, shorty headers, 2800 stall.

this will be on trw forged pistons, polished and shoppend pink rods, and stockcrank with the nitrous rings. I will be using 175-225 shot majority of all races.

my question is what cam will work for me? (sounds close to stock,
makes decent power n/a, and work well with nitrous and ported heads)

also could there be a more effecient way of porting heads for nitrous? oversized valves?

thanks vince

This cam has a pretty mild idle. It works very well with nitrous.

that looks pretty good, you think you could hear it camming with shorties, cats and say a flowmaster or a dynomax muffler if i set the idle up a little?

my cams a little bigger 224/236 114 and it has a pretty stock sound to it. You can tell there is one in there cause the idle is a bit choppy. Actually I think most people notice my car cause its pretty loud so the cam sound is highlighted, if I open the cutouts it gets eal noticable. So I would think that other cam 218/230 would sound even more so to stock especially with shorty headers and a closed exhaust
