I am looking into getting my car repainted shortly
I know about House of Kolor paint, but I am wondering if there is any other paint that is pretty good and less expensive.
Just looking to get the car redone same color.

DuPont should be a good match for OEM paint... its the only brand that I've used on my car. At the place I buy it from it runs ~ $53 a pint for the base.

Whenever I ask my father about good automotive paint, he always tells me that Sikkens is a very good paint. He sold paint for 15+ years and has owned his own company for 20+ years making the very best HVLP spray system out there. One of his employees painted cars for over 20 years and has painted 3 cars that took 1st place in Autorama. Both he and my dad swear by the stuff, and they've had their fair share of experience. However, I do not know about the price, but I'm under the impression that it's not tooooo bad.

My vote is for sikkins. You get what you pay for. It's not the MOST expensive, but it's not typically as cheap as dupont either. A lot also depends if you are doing a metallic or not. If you are you are doing anything in metallic...you really owe it to yourself to use Sikkins. ;) If there's any one thing you don't want to skimp on is high quality paint. My car was painted with sikkins a little over a month ago...Pics are in the sig. It's great stuff. One of the biggest differences with Sikkins is in the metalics...their metallic is of a finer grade...it's like other brands metallic being the size of marbles and Sikkins metallic being the size of grains of sand. This really adds depth to the paint...the pics that I have in my sig don't do the paint justice. It's so much brighter and deeper in person. (now if I can just fix my shattered clutch, I can drive it and show it off!)
