Need some advice.. Heads/cam car with nitrous, stock bottom end

Right now my car is a full bolt on + cc305 cam z28. She puts around 330 to the ground and 340 torque. Probably pull another 5-7 with a good tune.
There is a guy selling a wet nitrous kit at a good price and Im considering buying it.

How many of you, or how many of you know of someone who has a heads/cam LT1 with nitrous and still has the stock bottom end ? And how many miles are on it and is it driven hard?

With ported heads from Skardom or Llyod the car should be around 380-390 wrhp. What do u guys think of a 50 wrhp wet shot from NX?


My z28- LT1 stock bottom end, full bolt ons and cam
T56 tranny, LT4 clutch
10 bolt rearend with TA girdle support

Am i asking for it by have a stock bottom end with heads/cam and a 50 shot?

I am doing the same thing with a CC306 on the stock bottom end. I think you will have more problems with the stock 10 bolt.

Stock shortblock, heads, cam, 150-175 shot NX, bolt-ons. Time in sig with tracton issues. :D Your problem will be the 10-bolt seeing you have a 6-speed. I still have the 10-bolt, but I have an auto. :cool:

How often do u spray? and how hard are u on the car?

my car loves the nitrous . heads cam stock bottom end

it made 480 rwhp on 100 shot and if that doesnt get me in the 10s im putting in the 150 jets ... may god bless my pistons :D

if i remember right,George Debski has been running a 200 hit or more on a stock bottom end heads/cam Impy SS for a few years,and he was racing it regularly.

I have a stock long block with a 150 shot for almost 2 years,and car gets beat constantly.

It'd be nice.... to have that nitrous just incase...... but i dont wanna hurt my baby. I bet her insides look brand new.
