Tiago 06-29-2003, 02:03 AM just got back from MTI dyno day...whoo hoo what a day.
some cool cars out there, bolt on ls1's making their usual 320s at the wheel.
MTI tech gets in my car to pull it into the dyno and comes out with this face ==> Says my car is crazy ahahah, note I never told anyone it was a 3.4L , noone knew untill I popped the hood for the dyno. People were looking all over my car cause of the FMIC...it was cool. Everybody gathered around to see what it would pull. I Think I pulled the third or fourth highest numbers out of 30 ls1s, an lt1, c5s, etc.
the results are....
:metal::metal::metal:
336 rwhp and 397rwtq
peoples expressions were priceless towards the little stock bottom end 3.4L
good day
:D
oil pan 4 06-29-2003, 08:52 AM I was just about to ask what a 3.4 could take, ha ha.
300/400 numbers are good.
That's with a TO4, right?
Can't wait to see what twin Audi 06A turbo will do.

Korben 06-29-2003, 03:28 PM Hey Tiago, email me at korben_14@yahoo.com or if I see you on AIM again we can talk. My parents said it is a yes for the turbo, so I should be ready to give you the final yes tomorrow or tuesday.
If you could, give me a list of everything that comes with the kit....including gauges and what not.

what noises?
well if it goes hopefully it will jsut be the bottom gears.
I found it easier to drive with 1st, 3rd, 5th then 2nd, 4th and reverse :(
Then agains it also sucks when you can get in any gears.(happened when I trahsed my dad's 3.8L had ot have it towed, funny I never towed my lil' 3.4L yet *knock on wood*)
So have any tranny plans? gonna try a T-56 swap, I really looked into it with me trashin T-5s, or are you oging to go the easier, affordable route of a TH700R4 or even a TH350?
jetman624 07-04-2003, 05:38 PM How much are these turbo kits and where do you buy them?

Not to mention the difference in durability. An LC2 can easily make 400+hp and as much (or more) TQ without cracking open the engine. Not many stock V-8s can say that.
You can get an '89 TTA for under 10k, add $500 worth of bolt-ons over stock and run 12's all day .
Thanks,

Well of course, but you are spending $10k for a 14 year old car.
You can get a 94 3.4L for roughly $2k-4k, and spend $4k modding it and run 12s. May not be the king of hte hill, but it is differnet.
Or you could spend $6k and get a nice used lt1.
Or even jsut swap in a turbo 3.8L(which someone is doing).
Tiago 07-05-2003, 05:08 PM I think I will move to an automatic soon, 700r4 is looking good.

Sounds like a good idea, its not insane torque you are making(well in the sheme of things) I think the th700r4 will handle it but if you start tearing those up like I do T5s, go for a built th350 :D
