Congrats on the new LS1. Welcome to the family. What are you doing with the motor and tranny?

the car itself had 59,xxx miles on it. i still have the maf sensor, with GMS composite maf ends (basically a plastic version of ported/descreened stock housing), but the ends will work on an ls1 so i may hold onto it. i also have an 85mm ZO6 maf that i'm waiting to see if it works on the ls1. so there is a possibility that i may be selling one of those items depending on which works on the new car. both are in perfect working order.

no map sensor or injectors. although i bought a map sensor from discount auto for like $35 a year ago.

i have the whole TB so i guess i have the IAC...although i am trying to sell the whole tb as a unit...make an offer though if you want.

thanks for the welcome. be carefull, the next time you see me i'll give that SOM SS a run for it's money...maybe even in the twisties too!
and i was only able to pull parts off the car before it got sent to the scrapeyard. the insurance guy was great...i pulled all the perf. parts off of the car and a few stock parts (shhh!!) i would have loved to get the whole car andpart it out...didn't even have 60K miles yet...and the interior was mint...but i didn't have the room or the inclination...

former86

well they are $35 shipped new from www.gmpartsdirect.com and this one is only a couple months old...so how does $30 shipped sound?

i have my stock MAF so i could use those ends + screen... i'm going to try cleaning mine with rubbing alcohol and seeing if it makes any difference.

did you use a K&N or any other oiled air filter?

Interested in crank pulley. I dont think it does much, but if it is cheap enoubh it couldnt hurt.

yeah i had a K&N filter on it for 2 years, the ends do not have screens or the middle divider. and are made of composite plastic....
link to the product in jegs... for the ends...sensor itself is stock

Lab
make me an offer on the pulley...it has a belt and the longer bolts. i had it for 2 years, didn't notice anything but it seemed to rev a bit quicker (probably all in my head) and i didn't have ANY charging problems with it...even with a manual fan switch drawing alot of power at idle...

if you guys want more than one thing it'll be cheaper shipping...

well if you wanted to keep the ends that'd be perfectly fine with me, i could just put the sensor in using my stock ends couldn't i?

i dunno how much used MAF sensors go for... but if its been exposed to K&N oil i'm not sure what that'd do to its value.

if i were you i wouldn't try the qtip thing...maybe some good intake cleaner...or choke cleaner...and just spray the he!! out of it...that should remove ANY oil or residue...without damaging the filiments

but in the odd chance you do...mine's ready for shipping...lol

Use some electronics cleaner, spray it on and let it clean/dry. That should be the safest way to clean a MAF.
