Thursday Night GTG's

A few of us are trying to get a get together going on Thursday nights. At Plano & Beltline at the car wash, starts a lil after sundown, and goes to when ever. Only 2 showed up last week, and we want more this week. Cya there!!

OK OK OK by reading the last thread and knowing whom it is....My info was wrong. I didn't recognize the location, but I was told once I get there, I would recognize it. Sorry for the wrong info!!

Cool, I work until 9pm on thursdays, but I will try to make it out this thursday after work.

Hey guys, I need to make a correction on NiteNinjas post. The meeting spot is actually at Marshalls car wash on Belt Line and Shiloh.It's next to Conoco and across from Exxon. For all ya'll original Garland street racers, it's the "Old Spot". We've been kickin' it there for years, but as we all got older, everyone just dissapeared. Now we want to get things back to normal around here! There's too much rice rollin' around Garland , so we need to make our presence known. I'll be out there @ 7:30 on Thursday, so if anyone is interested, ya'll clean 'em up and come on out.

I've cruised by there a few times and seen some people hanging out there. I might try to show up if it isn't raining, as it would be nice to have a gathering closer to home! How much probs do you get from the Garland PD?

Hey JP, thanks for your interest in our spot. We used to be able to line up on Belt Line and run a quarter to the first light. Garland cops would just cruise right on by with no interest in what we were doing. When we started getting upwards of 60-70 cars in Marshalls parking lot, thats when the cops would roll in. But like I said, I've been hanging out there for 4 or 5 years, and I have talked to Mr. Marshall on several occasions. As long as we respect his property and don't trash out the parking lot, he has no problem with us being there. Hell, we bring him pretty good business. But anyways, I'll tell you guys about the old days when we meet. Just look for my green monster with the Harwood hood. And by the way, if you guys have any friends with F-Bodies, invite 'em out! See ya'll tomorrow!

Yep so I worked late, and I just went over now, 10:30ish, no one was there. Oh well, great night for a drive with the tops out.

It was good fun, the group ended up moving across the street to the church parking lot. I thought everyone left around 11pm, but I guess it was a little bit earlier. I ended up meeting KyleBlue85Iroc-Z and kp2quik4u among others that probably don't post on this board. There were 2 LS1's and about 5 LT1's, small turnout, but still had a lot of laughs! I think they said they would be up there this Thurs as well, but don't know for sure. I'm planning to go the week after the 4th...

THANKS TO ALL THAT SHOWED LAST WEEK! IT WAS A SMALL TURN OUT, BUT WE HAVE BEEN PROMOTING LIKE CRAZY AROUND THE AREA SINCE THURSDAY. DUE TO THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND AHEAD, I AM GOING TO CANCEL THIS WEEKS MEET. BUT I REALLY HOPE TO SEE SOME NEW FACES NEXT THURSDAY. AND FOR FURTHER NOTICE, IF THEY DECIDE TO CLEAN OUT EVERY STALL AT THE WASH WHILE WE'RE STANDING THERE, WE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE STREET. SO SMUJEREMY, THATS WHERE WE WERE. Ahhhh, yeah I don't even remember seeing a church there. I saw a third gen in the car wash vacuuming it out. I looked around at the other stores, but didn't see anyone so I figured ya'll just bailed early.

Uhmm, yeah I would imagine, usually everyone is welcome if you have an F-body.

The way I took was 75 to Beltline/Main St. It is just north of 635, then took Main/Beltline all the way to Garland.

I dont know where Hurst is though.

SORRY..... FROM HURST, TAKE 30 ALL THE WAY TO 75( CENTRAL), AND TAKE CENTRAL NORTH TO BELT LINE. EXIT BELT LINE(MAIN) AND GO RIGHT. GO ALL THE WAY TO SHILOH RD. AND MAKE A U-TURN , THE CAR WASH IS ON THE RIGHT.
