I have a chance to get a complete 383 motor for a very good price. However, the motor has a spun bearing. The motor only has about 5000 miles since it was rebuilt. Should I forget about it, or can it be fixed and have no effect on future performance? Any help and/or suggestions would be great!

If its a spun rod turning the crank and buying a new rod should fix it. If its a spun main the block is toast as fixing can be costly. You also need to keep in mind the crank may not clean up so you may have to buy a new crank.
