I am 99% sure I know the answer to this, but just-in-case. Would a black 1998 Z28 have clear-coat on it? Zaino sells a different polish for clear-coated and non-clear-coated paint.
Thanks

You can use either or both Z2 and Z5 polishes! http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif ------------------ *My 1992 Camaro RS 25th Anniv.* (http://mls77.homestead.com/92camarors.html) Dark Red Metallic (ext.) / Flame Red (int.) That's what I thought. I just licked the envelope - Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7, Z18, and ZFX. The car was only washed at a car wash by the previous owner. Let's see if it's as good as people say. MikeLS 08-24-2002, 11:51 AM Well, you bought all the great products to start with, so I think you'll be very happy. But, if you say your car was only washed once before you got it, I'm assuming it's probably in need of more than just a claying. Surface prep is very important if you want the best possible results. So, you might need to use either or both a swirl remover and/or paint cleaner to perfect the finish before you ever apply the Zaino. Zaino is nonabrasive and will not restore the sufrace as it is the final protectant. Ideally, you want the paint to look and feel nearly flawless before you ever apply any wax, regardless of the brand. The same holds true for Zaino. Apply it over a good finish and it's icing on the cake. http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif Mike http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif ------------------ *My 1992 Camaro RS 25th Anniv.* (http://mls77.homestead.com/92camarors.html) Dark Red Metallic (ext.) / Flame Red (int.) KeithO 08-24-2002, 12:08 PM The car had been kept clean by the previous owner. He just used car washes and never put any effort into cleaning it. I have waxed it once with Zymol and it look good, except it exposed a few light scratches and swirls. Since I plan to keep the car for a while, I figured I'd start with Zaino and see how things progress. I'm willing to spend $100 or so to learn something.
