cleaning an aluminum intake

I put a fresh 355 with an edlebrock performer intake in my car in April, and now the aluminum intake needs to be cleaned but I don't know what to use to clean it and I don't want to stain it or have any discolouration on it. Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
