hey everyone i need some help

the other day my car started making a clunking noise, i thought it was the talpipe banging on the frame or the rear end cause my muffler rotted off and i just haven't had the money to fix it yet. well today i pulled the intermediate pipe off to try and fix the clunking and it didn't work.

so i have the exhaust banging (which was there) out of the picture, it sounds like its coming from either the rear end or transmission area cause it only happens when the car is moving. it does it at all speeds and gets much worse when you are doing more than like 10-15 mph. the whole car shakes and its loud

i've been running through things in my head that it could be and i've come up with torque arm bushing, tranny mount (doubtful cause i have a poly one from engineering suspension), motor mount, u-joints...... got any other ideas? or someone who has actually had something like this happen?

any help would be great, i miss driving it already and its only been 3 days

did u check all of the things you mentioned? its sound that its most likely one of them. i had a similar problem and it turned out to be the trans mount, but i doubt that is your problem if you have a new poly one. id check it anyway because you never know. check out those parts that you mentioned and if they are all fine, if so then post back.

Things that pop into mind:

Check your U-joints
Check that your torque arm is securely attached at the rear and at the transmission

Thats all I can think of.
