3M 39006black97ta 08-16-2002, 10:22 PM Hello I was wondering if anyone used the 3M 39006 before? I think it is a cleaner,wax,and fine scratch remover just would like to know if it is any good I own a black T/A and was thinking of usig it.I know that 3M products are pretty good any help would be appreciated KevinSS 08-17-2002, 12:37 PM That product is 3M One Step Fine cut wax, it contains alumium oxide as the abrasive, cleaner solvents, and carnauba wax. It will not last long at all on a black surface being carnauba wax. You will be better off using a straight polish compound like 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009 and then as a second step using a synthetic wax or polish as a final coat. The ALL IN ONE waxes and polishes like the 39006 always produce limited results. Kinda like a a combinatation cleaner/conditioner product, how can you clean and condition at the same time? Thank you</font> You do not have to spend a whole lot of money by any means, after you use the 39009, wash the car with Dawn and get some Z-1 for 8.95 and Z-5 for 16.95.
