Post 13 coats of Z5 and 2 coats of Z2 Zaino.got a few questions

This Zaino is excellent. My swirls which were pretty substantial are almost gone. I like how easy it applies and removes.I love the smell,I like how shiny my car is.If it wernt for the crappy GM paint job(orange peel) it would be perfect. Ive used about 1/2 of my Z5 doing 13 coats. Will this stuff keep on layering? Can I apply too many layers? I apply Z6 Gloss Enhancer in between each coat. After applying Z5,it seems to dry very quickly, say it takes 20 minutes to dry.Do I take it off then or is it at all benificial to leave it on say 2 hours even if its dry is 20 minutes?.....Again Im very impressed with this polish and highly recomend it......Thanks Mark

Thumbs up

Sounds great Mark!! Looks like you're enjoying your Zaino as much as the rest of us enthusiasts! The best part is, it only gets better after every coat!!!

Yes, each time you use the polish it will layer upon the last coat. You can never use too much Zaino! Honestly, Zaino is the most paint friendly forumla on the market, and one of the very few that WILL indeed layer after every coat, which deepens the gloss, wetness, high reflectivity shine, and most importantly increases the protection every car needs. Layer away, some guys have a few coats others have more than a hundred built up! I'm in between...

You can leave the polish on the car longer if you like. Technically, if it's dry, it's ready to remove. But, I believe that polymers work better if they are left to "harden" and bond to the surface for longer periods. I like to try to leave the polish on as long as possible to ensure a greater bond. In fact, I left a coat of ZFX on for an entire 2 weeks once, while I drove the car!! But, this is overkill, and I don't recommend it at all. (Actually, the only reason I did it was b/c I got sick the night I applied the ZFX and was never able to work on the car until I was well, i.e. a couple weeks later.) I removed the polish with Z7 wash and my wash mitt and it was very stubborn in spots, but the gloss seemed even better! Point is, I think these polishes work best if you give them a little more time to cure with your paint. It's up to you though, there's absolutely no harm in removing it as soon as it's dry or waiting longer.

Glad you like the Z polishes, they are killer!

I bought the ZFX but to tell you the truth, I wash the car once a week and do one coat Z-5 after each wash.
On my sister's cars and lighter paint, I use ZFX/Z-2 and do 3 coats because I know it won't get the weekly pampering that my car gets.

By the way, is it bad to drop your rags in the dirt and buff off Z-5 then post crappy messages here??? hahahahahahah I love this place!!!!
