Dont know about yall but i wash my car every week, so i dont really need longevity.. be sure and read EVERYTHING, even the two links at the top of the page, and that should answer all your "but" this and that questions/flames. have fun!

That Review has been around for a long time and discussed Ad nauseum here and many other forums.
The author did not apply the product properly, received some very angry, ridiculing emails and messages posted on some other forums. He became angry, close-minded and refused to to do any re-testing.
For starters, if you look at the pictures showing Meguiars and Zaino Z5 applied it is quite evident that the Zaino side was put on way too thick. You will get little, if any filling when applied this way. Zaino should be applied using thin coats. http://pages.sbcglobal.net/gheumann/..._on_1_1024.jpg
(Meguiars is on left side, Zaino is on right)
I won't go into other deficiencies in his test procedures. The only thing I'll state is that you should try different products on your own and use what works best for you. I'll stick with Zaino because it works best for me.

oh, figures, i thought that it may have been discussed before, hmmm but would i really benefit from zaino if i washed my car once a week? i mean, meguiars gold class isnt carnuba wax, so it should be decent? and besides zymol and zaino, which comes second? thanks.. hmm i thought he applied it per instructions, oh well... he does still have some points..
The only thing I have to add is on my car it took mega layers to fill the swirls.use it once a week for 6 months and return with the pics....nice job though on the test...Mark

How many layers are you talking? I have swirls that are probably finer then the ones in the above review that I am trying to get rid of. I just did a dawn was, clay bar, Z1, and two coats of Z5 application and have not noticed any improvement in the swirl marks.

I also wanted to add that I thought meguiars had mild abrasives in it. (I'm not really sure about this, but that alone would make me not choose that product.) In that guys experiment he said that the meguiars took out the swirls, but added finer ones. That is why I'm assuming it is abrasive.

First off, way to start your post.
You sound like an elementary school kid. Us "Zainoholics" dont sit around waiting for someone to post a bad thought about Zaino, just so we can jump on you, contrary to popular belief.
Yes. Washing does not equal "polishing" or "waxing". Every time you wash a car, you are wearing away at the protective coating you have on it. I dont know about other car washes, but Z7 (Zaino car wash) has some of the polish in it, so you are really helping your protection and shine every time you wash your car. On the other hand, lets look at Meguairs. A good product, but every time you wash a car with Meguairs on it, some of that wax is being washed away. For someone that supposedly washes their car as much as you do, longevity should be a concern to you.
And who did you hear this from? Gold class most certainly is a wax.
Since you have 2 there, you would be looking for a third place. I'd put Klasse up there myself. For your average Joe weekend-warrior of car washing, stick with Meguairs.
Nope, he didnt follow directions. And no, he doesnt have points, he has opinions. And you know what they say about opinions.

in all honesty, ive begun using formula 113 on my car and some friends cars. 1 of them has a 97 ss and sweard by zaino. he must have had 10-5 coates on, in about a 8 month period. I got the formula 113, brought it over, whashed my roc in dawn. then applied a thin coat of the formula 113 to my car, in the middle of the day (sunny california). took it off, surprisingly it came off very very easy. and it looked liek so....

i can honestly say, that 1 coat on my paint, looked just as good as the 10-15 on his. he has stopped using zaino now
im not saying zaino is a bad product, it works very well, but if i can get the same results, with 1 coat, and not have to let it sit for several hours or even over nite with the stuff, or use 2-3 different products, then sign me up. fortunatly, the formula113 did just that

Formula 113 is a cleaner wax that works great on neglected finishes.
Only a product with strong cleaners/abrasives could perform a miracle like that in the above link and I certainly wouldn't want to subject a near pristine finish to these abrasives/cleaners every time I waxed my car.
