What have you seen these things going for?

2000 SS

6-speed, T-tops, 29k miles, Monsoon, Leather, SLP Dual Dual

They are asking $22,999

In december I got my 2000 SS 36K for 24,000..... I had to do it over again i would shop around first. ( bought the first car I saw)

Its sounds like a decent deal, just make sure its all good.

Holy cow I just found out insurance wil be between $150-$180 per month, ouch!!!!

Im shopping for insurance right now, and im looking at either 304 a month with a 1000 deductable, or 363 a month with a 500 deductable. Thats the price of living in the San Francisco Bay Area..... I also bought the first SS I saw and paid 22,000 for mine in March.

damn that sucks that insurance is expensive!!! Sometimes I am glad that I am still on my parents insurance untill I turn 25 which will be for another year because I am paying $ 130 a month for my 68 C10 and 02 Z...

I got my 00 SS last year around this time and I paid 18,900 for it. My insurance for it is about 145 a month right now, but I am getting married in Sept. and it will drop down to about 100 a month after that.

I know of a 6 speed convertible SS for $19,000.

It's a 2000 with 55,000 miles, silver, stock, chrome SS wheels, black interior / top and seemed to be in really great shape. It belongs to somebody I know's neighbor.

i got my 2000 SS for 15,500 with 50k on it!

2000 SS M6 $18k with 26k miles on it from dealership with extended warranty this March. In Michigan it is good to shop for a Camaro with snow the ground.

Based on the market situation I've seen here in North Texas, my opinion is that one should definetely not pay over $20K for a 00 SS. :no:

More in the tunes of 17-18K, just like some of you have paid. Congrats on the nice purchases. ;)

You can even get an 02 Z28 for well under 20K around here. :eek:

For what it's worth.........lotsa times the best deals can be found out in rural areas----- specifically near military installations. You'll always find scads of used car lots in these areas because of rotation and relocation, and the dealerships need to compete with each other. I found it worth a weekend to shop at the 25-30 different lots that were within just a few miles of each other, and wholesale out my old clunker to the dealership I bought my '98 from on the following weekend.

Have a history report done on the car and do it yourself. Don't let the dealership run it. Otherwise that sounds like an okay deal.

Thats way too much for that car, I see them all the time for under 18-19k. I bought my SS (99) at the end of Feb. for 14,000. It was perfect and had 40k on it then (but not now:D ). Definately shop around. Try cars.com and ebay or even the local papers.

As well as brand new tires, and like I said, perfect show condition.:eek:
