How do i get bugs off?

On my front bumper, i wash my car, and when its dry there is still bugs splats and "greasy" looking bugs marks, how in the heck do i get em off? Dang bugs are gonna ruin my bumper, and i dont want to get an ugly bra

LOL, I love where I live there I never get bugs on my car. However a few weeks ago I drove up to Fresno to pick up some parts for my car and when I got back from the 6 hour drive I looked at the front of my car and could hardly see the paint. It was covered in bugs. So I went and bought some stuff called bug and tar remover, because I do not no what is in those damn bugs but there guts are like tar especially after they bake in the sun for a couple days. http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif

Edit: The stuff I got was a wax too, it was made by turtle wax, said on the bottle...Cleans Bugs and Tar and leaves car with a nice finish http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif

It is usually easiest to get them off in the morning when the car has dew on it. If you don't want to wait then it just takes a lot of time sitting there with your wash bucket and soap and water. Anything that takes off the bugs "quickly" will most likely also strip your wax off as well http://web.camaross.com/bb/eek.gif

Fresh bugs that can be removed with a car wash or a detailer spray

Older bugs that you left on TOO long and have become part of your car, these are the ones you should try FIRST claying them off.

If the clay does not remove them, the acids from the bugs have more than likely etched into your paint surface, in this case use a polishing compound to even out that area. You can try the Turtle Wax Polishing Compound found in the little white tub at WalMart, this product is pretty gritty and I would not use it on the entire paint surface but it is good for rubbing out small problem areas.

I work near a farm that has about 150 bee hives. Needless to say I have get lots of honey bee parts on the nose of my car.

Prompt removal works best, plus Kevin SS advice above. One trick I learned (from my mother!) to remove stubborn bugs is to fold some paper towels in half, soak them in water and lay them over the bugs about 30 minutes before I wash the car.

That usually softens them up enough that I can rinse 90% of the bug off with the hose and the rest washes off easily.

Every now and then I "de-bug" the front of my car. I always sit the Z out and let it get rained on. After a good night of rain those suckers are usually loosened up enough that I can get them off with cleaner wax and a cotton towel http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif

Believe it or not,aerosol glass cleaners and a soft towel will remove a lot of bug crap from the front of a car!It's not the most high-tech solution,but it works!

There are many ways. I like to use a wash cloth dripping wet with hot water. Rub gently over it until it's gone. There's no quick/easy way to get them off. It takes a little time to pick off every little speck.

Use turtle wax bug and tar remover, I just used it today and it is awesome! it got absolutely everything off my car and left a very smooth, wax like finish on it. the water just beads as soon as it his the car now. I was very surprised and happy with it

use ur own way to get the bugs out but one thing left out so they dont ruin ur car and alittle easier getting off wax the front of ur car real good and often
