No need to look for the cotton Viking wash mit any longer, see inside>>

NAPA is the place to go, since Viking changed to a poly mit I am not buying those anymore and even if Viking still makes the all cotton one, to me it is not worth the search when the NAPA one is easy to find.

I picked up two cotton wash mits this afternoon at NAPA, they are of the NAPA brand name and say "Snow White Wash Mit"
They are 100% cotton and are made in the USA.

I did the burn test and the strands are in fact cotton and I used one this afternoon to wash my truck and they are the real deal.

They have two sizes, the large one is 8 by 14 inches and may be too big for most cars, it was about 5 bucks. Its part number is: 760-1131

The smaller one is 6 by 10 inches and is about 3.50. Its part number is 760-1130

Forget the Vikings, NAPA is the way to go and gets my offical seal of approval

Thanks for the heads up Kevin. I'll head that way tomorrow. I just found my Viking mitt covered with sawdust. http://web.camaross.com/bb/mad.gif Thats what I get for leaving it in the garage though.

HOLD UP! what's up with the Viking mitts being poly? i bought the "viking supersoft chenille wash mitt" (white) from wal-mart and used it tonight... i went out of my way to get this particular mitt cuz i thought it was the one to get... it says made in the USA... are you saying this mitt isn't real cotton?

Some people have posted in the past that the mitt found in Wal-Mart ("Super-Soft Chenille") is no longer the 100% cotton one, rather it is a poly/cotton blend. However, I was in need of a new mitt as my old Viking was in need of replacement, and I have used the "Super-Soft Chenille" Vikings for a while without any problems at all. But knowing they weren't 100% cotton always worried me. After what KevinSS said above, I will be visiting my NAPA store very soon.

JeffB_94Z, if the one you got did say 100% Made in USA Cotton and had the cotton logo, then you are fine. The problem is most all the stores are buying the cheaper version of the Viking now and the 100% cotton, with logo, aren't around anymore. You may have gotten lucky finding one.

NAPA is pretty much an auto parts store like Autozone or Pep Boys. They've been around for years. Check out their web site below and use their store locator to see if there is one near you:
