Ok well I told everyone here I'd give the progress of my Zaino experiment- just trying to even things out after I badmouthed Zaino a bit. Anyway it was time to wash the Z, hardly any dirt but I have a few days off and wanted a totally clean car to add more coats with Z5. Well first thing when I started washing the car (with Mother's car wash, I know its BAAAAD) and I have NEVER seen a car bead like this before. It was kinda unreal to watch, I actually called my neighbor over to see.Hard to describe but this Zaino beads water like nothing I have ever seen. Then I took an even bigger jump, I actually used the Zaino applicator that had caused all my problems before. I washed it good so I'm sure I got all the nasties out of it. Anyway just buffed off coat #3 and it looks good. It may be diminishing some scratches but its hard to tell. Shine isn't bad at all for Z5. Have it sitting in the sun now to bake. I just have some question for you Zaino guys here........ My car NEEDS to be clay barred. I have some imbedded tar spots I never bnoticed before. So how do I do it? Must I remove the Zaino before I clay the car??? I'm planning on claying it then re-using Z1 again. Will that work?? This Zaino puts a really hard coat on your car will it be possible to clay the car now?? Lastly I'm getting ZFX and being done with it. This waiting between coats is driving me nuts!! Yea the Zaino is starting to impress me, if I ever get my sample of Formula 113 I'm gonna give that a whirl too.

Just go ahead and clay it. It may remove a small portion of the Zaino but you can always apply more. I'd use the Z-1 again in the area you clayed.

The ZFX is really great, you'll love it.

Thanks Kev....I figured I'd Z1 the whole car again since its compatable-plus its not really that much more work. My kickass local distributor is in Monaco right now or I'd order some tonight.

How much tar?? That might be part of your Zaino problem! Tar is usually full of grit which gets stuck on the applicator as you "wax" and causes scratches!

Always clay bar first, as I'm sure you've figured out.

Glad the car is looking better. http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif
