Hey Ken, http://www.proformanceraceschool.com/ is having an all day lapping day at PIR June 26th. Weren't you saying you wanted to run there sometime?

Proformance puts on a good event--well run, great instruction (if you get an instructor) and lots of seat time.

Come join the fun. I get tired of being the only F-Body at the track.... :(

Yeah, after all the $$ and work that has gone into this car, and the fact that **A LOT** of it is STILL stock......kills me.

If I had to do it over, and do it NOW, I would look at buying a used Camaro.....seems as if I see a ton of em in the SCCA magazine and for a LOT LESS than I have spent on mine! Most ARE 3rd gens, but bang for the buck....YIKES! Bad economy==cheap race cars for sale!

I will email a few of the "good" pics and see what you think....

To get this back on thread: I spoke to Mike today. He's still in the biz and has three adapter sets left. He is also expecting the first of his brake fluid soon.

Ok, I know that people have been waiting a while to get their kits. But, you say you were picking up the last two kits. I talked to him a couple days ago, and he said he had two kits left. So I told him I wanted one, and paid in full on 6/23. Are you still supposed to be getting two kits, or just one?

I ordered and paid for ROTORS only in April.

They showed up at my door Tuesday of this week.

I ordered my kit May 5th and got the brackets the 23rd.....I'm still freakin waiting on my rotors and calipers.

WOW.....order in April and receive in June.....looks like his service is getting A LOT faster!

Sorry, bad wording. He had 3, I picked up one, leaving 2.

I too am now waiting for the rotors and calipers which he said should ship in 2 to 3 weeks.

Paid for mine full in april and still nothing. Never returns calls now i notice his voice mail is turned off, i guess it makes it easier to ignore paying customers that way. Never returns emails, and yet when you order he is such a good guy and willing to help and if you need replacement rotors to call him..... yeah i'll get right on that one. Might as well order some replacements now cuz in about six months when they arrive i may need them.

Oh boy, I wish I'd have done a little more research before paying. I'm not in a huge hurry, but since he claims to have the kits I still expect to have everything shipped within a few weeks. I guess if I do get everything, I'll be buying rotors elsewhere. When you need rotors, you can't wait around for months, you need them now....

Exactly why I ordered a spare set, along with pads.

They can be a bitch to find as well ...

There are places that you can find the parts. Porsche dealers can get you rotors and calipers in a few days.

Looks like thats what I'm going to have to do starting tomorrow.

Hope he's in the office tomorrow...because I'm calling. People should not have to put up with this kind of bullsh!t from vendors.

Anybody have any updates on their orders from Prospeed? From what I can tell, you get no attention until you threaten to do something about it, then he will call or email telling you it won't be long. Then, you get nothing and start the cycle over again. I'm now trying to cancel my order, and he finally replied stating that he can't do that. Well considering that I haven't received what I paid for over two months ago...lets just say I'm going to get my lawyer on the case since I'm tired of dealing with it.

BTW, anybody else had him block their email? After his last email stating that he would not cancel my order, he seems to have blocked both of the addresses I have used when emailing him.

I am in the same exact boat as you gary, i just want my money back. My credit card company says differently haven't talked to a lawyer yet, but i will be doing that shortly. I already have my new kit picked out, going to get the Mov'it kit i think. Anyway Let me know how things turn out Gary, and i will do like wise.

Also waiting for the calipers, rotors and pads. Paid June 19 and picked the kit up shortly after that.

Michael has responded to most of my e-mails, though not the last 2. Until I'm convinced I got burned I'm writing it off to "good technician, lousy businessman". :rolleyes:

A couple months ago the calipers were unavalible through Porsche for almost two months. Dealers said they could get them but talk is cheap with them. Its a totally differnt stroy now. Hes just being slow :o

If he rips you off, let me know, I live a couple blocks away and I will take care of it. He is a stand up guy but is in WAY over his head when it comes to what is going on with his company.

My problem is that the kit was supposedly in stock, but in reality it was not. If I had known this, I never would have ordered from him. If the parts are hard to get now, it shouldn't matter since he was supposed to have the kits available and ready to ship. I'm now in a situation where I just want to cancel my order and buy a kit somewhere else. Taking people's money then making them wait for months on end to get what they ordered is ridiculous. I'm not waiting any longer on him, and my lawyer already has all the information about this situation and is on the case.

As far as I'm concerned, I have been ripped off. He's had my money for long enough in my opinion, and I have nothing of any use to me in return. If you really can take care of the problem, I'd just like to get all my money back. I'm serious about this....maybe you could let him know that? I don't know why its a big deal to give me my money back anyway. When/if he does actually have a complete kit to sell, the next poor guy that orders from him won't have to wait forever to receive the kit.

The issue about the product being in stock. At one point long long ago this was true, but for the past 4 months he has not had the Porsche calipers or rotors in stock. He has adverstied that he has the adapter hardware in stock. If you spoke with him a month or two before you ordered this would have been true. I don't know how it conficts with when you ordered though. I understand its been about two months and this was after the issues with Porsche distrobution of the 996 caliper. I can't garantee that thi is what he has said to all his customers but my comment is that is consistant with everytime I have heard him talk about the kit.

He has been waiting for you to okay the shipment of the calipers and rotors to you for over a week. You threatend that you would refuse any shipments by him so he responded via e-mail last week- no word from you. He was asking if he should ship the product. From my understanding you also sent back your hardware which you have had for some time now. That was refused - under terms of sale there are no returns.

If you read the policies on his website the deal was, this is now discontinued and there are no returns or refunds unless it is a warrantee issue. This is not, hence no refund. I don't mean to be a prick by this but if you buy something with a no return policy why would you get so pissed off if you couldn't get one?

His "policy" page has been blank from the day I ordered up until last night. I printed it out the day I ordered, along with everything else relevant to the kit. Now, the policy page suddenly has something on it...hmmm. I don't mean to be a prick, but how about if you give me a couple grand of your money and I keep it for months on end so your hands are tied and you can't purchase the parts you need even though someone else has them readily available?

Its all his fault. He shouldn't be selling things that he can't supply. I ordered a brake kit, the contents of which are listed on the web page. The web page stated there was one kit left, and an email from him stated there were two kits left.

I am in the same exact boat as GaryK, its not that we don't thank you for your help we do, but we have heard that exact story atleast twcie a month for the past 4 months. I purchased my kit May 23rd and don't have it. I have been told parts will ship in two weeks on the day i bought them, two weeks after i bought them, two weweks after that then he actually called me for the first time ever in these almost 4 months and said a caliper was going out last thursday, and then the rest probably this week, well i have nothing, no tracking numbers and amazingly no caliper arrived and it doesn't take a week and a half to get from St. Paul to Iowa, its 3 days tops. I get stuff from chicago in a day ground delivery. We do appreciate your help in our cause but right now we are at the end of our ropes and don't want to deal with ihm anymore. I know of two other people that are pretty much the same boat only its only been about 2.5 months for them. Thanks again XScream

Lehrjet- I thank you for your kind words. I understand what your going through. We test fit everything for the kit on my car and it was a long process (3 months if I recall). I do hope that he will reslove this issue for you in a timely mannor. He is not into scamming people or trying to rip people off. I just want to make sure that image isn't going around about him. I spend a lot of time trying to make this kit happen (I'm not an employee, I'm just like you guys, I wanted BIG BRAKES :D )

I can't make the man speed up but if you need help with something please let me know.

Actually i am on MNfbody but its been a long time since i have been there. I should visit there more often i remember talking with a lot of the members on there. Its a good group. If you guys ever come back down to Tristate let me know, i'll meet you there its about an hour from my house, but been known to make it in 26 miinutes before SHHHHH!! :)

I'm not pissed at you at all, and I appreciate you trying to help. I am pissed because the guy seems to not be very honest about things. You did seem to make it sound like I'm somehow at fault for expecting to receive something I paid for in a reasonable time. Anyway, its probably best to not get into this "he said" stuff.

Lehrjet- I don't know when they will go down there next. A lot of the boys are not into drag. The guys from Modern Muscle though seem to be down there every weekend. I know a couple of us will be at Mid America in Oct. though.
