well i for the most part found it entertaining, except for the points where he repeatedly slams displacement and the hp numbers of a mustang (which he didnt even get right) and he basicaly makes comments of how they are basically tanks on wheels. this guy has ricer mentality and thats what pisses me off, hes not educated about cars whatsoever and he himself is the jasckass, rims and bodykits give you the best handling car in the world, i should have known:rolleyes: i can bet a new gt would take his honDIE in circut type racing:D

Not really. I hate these generalizations. I guarantee you that if you take a properly distributed sample of drivers for each major make/model of vehicle, you will find a similar percentage of jackasses and cool people.

actually youd probably find more jackasses and retards driving imports cuz theres soo many of those things around now and the majority of people who drive cars like ours are more tuned to cars and we are more knowlegeable about cars therefore keeps our attitudes in check

I'm curious to see how many of you people that are so tuned to cars have looked at boards for cars not of your own brand/make... or asked any dedicated Honda owner how many other brands they've driven. If you want to really learn what Hondas are about, head over to Honda Tech (http://www.honda-tech.com) and read the Tech forum, the Drag Racing forum, and the Forced Induction forum. Notice how fast rice gets burned out of the forums. And if you want, in the Drag Racing forum several of the top import drivers hang out and pow-wow with the newbies. Do you see that top-to-bottom involvement with domestics?

I think the main reason imports get such a bad rep is that the most vocal import drivers are the morons.

I admit, I know nothing about rice tuning, or performance of rice mobiles. All I know is Honda Civics are not sport cars, they are economy cars.

Raene, what blue 79 meant is that a higher ratio of domestic owners are truely knowledgable about their cars and than import owners ..

for example 80% of domestic owners are truely into performance and know how to work on motors and "know their sh*t" .. on the other hand only %40 of import owners are truely into performance and the other %60 are into alteza's and bookshelf wings

dont worry we all know u fall in the 40% category ;)

That is valid, until you start modifying them. You can turn any car into a race car when you start modifying it properly.

It bothers me when people throw around numbers and approximations when little or no research has been done to support these claims. Not that I know of any statistical analysis that has been done on this subject, but I am the last person who will go around making claims without hard evidence.

I'm not flaming, I just want to know where you get your figures ;)

thanks thats what i meant:cool: the reason for this is there are sooooooooooo many imports out there with morons behind the wheel, i just think theres more domestic guys ratio to the amount of cars that know more in general about all cars, come on how many import drivers out there dont know one thing about another car except their own theres alot, im not saying all are bad i know alot of knowledgeable import drivers but the ratio is startlingly high:eek:

And you know what? I kind of like it that way... it's easy to play dumb with ricers in conversation... plus it hides the really fast cars amongst the sea of rice, so you REALLY don't see it coming when the little import is actually quick :death:

I'd have to disagree on one point though... the main thing about ricers isn't that they know only their own cars... it's that they know NOTHING about cars, but pretend they do. And no matter what, they will defend their own brand to the death.

Did anybody else read this month's Car Craft where they were comparing Pro Street to the import fad? I thought it was pretty appropriate... ricers just want to LOOK fast, without worrying about actually being that quick. Same thing (usually) with Pro Street.

Rice is not very nice, on the streets I show them my tailights, wont give'm the satisfaction of turning my head, just hit the gas and they are dead, if you drive a 4-banger you are just a wanger and they don't escalate my anger.
