I live in Chandler, Arizona and I want to get some of the Zaino polish and wax I keep hearing about. Does anyone know where I could pick some of this stuff up at besides mail-order..Also, does it work as good as they say on older vehicle paint from 1994 etc: I have some scratches and the bumper has a small web in it, I'll try it if you guys say it works..Thank You!!

Here's the deal. After trying nearly every major wax, polish, and sealant brand out there, I have found nothing that gives the durability, protection, simplicity of use, and clear deep Show Car shine that Zaino provides! Zaino is truly unique compared to almost anything else out there. Zaino contains no harmful abrasives and no useless silicone oils or other cheap oils to give a cheap shine. Zaino is a synthetic polymeric polish system that has the unique ability to actually layer as you add more coats. There are probablly less than 5 waxes/polishes out there that can claim this ability. Zaino is also 99.9% optically clear and will not harm or discolor your paint in any way, in fact it makes my paint look like custom show car paint. It's that good!!

Does Zaino work on an older car? Well, my car is a 10 year old Camaro and looks better than it ever has! Here's the proof:

http://mls77.homestead.com/files/DCP_0003_6.JPG

http://mls77.homestead.com/files/DCP_0009_6.JPG

http://mls77.homestead.com/files/DCP_0003_15.JPG

I've got plenty more pics of my car on my website if you need further proof! Just see my sig...

About the scratches in your bumper. Zaino is nonabrasive and will not remove heavy scratches. Z5 will help fill in light surface marring. The more coats you add the better the filling Z5 will do! To tackle bigger surface scratches and swirls grab some 3M #39009 Swirl Mark Remover before you ever apply the Zaino.

I'm not sure if Arizona has a Zaino dealer, so email Sal Zaino at wet@zainobros.com and ask if there is one in your State. Otherwise it's not a problem mail ordering through the home site at www.zainobros.com (http://www.zainobros.com) I usually get my orders about 5 or 6 days from when I mailed the check. A good starter kit for your Camaro would be: Z1 or ZFX, Z2, Z5, Z6, Z7, and Z18. Sounds like a lot but it's all very worth it!

If Zaino didn't work, I wouldn't be using it. There are a lot of other choices out there, but IMHO Zaino is unmatched...

HTH!

Hey blkZ28,

Links no workie. http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif

I've been meaning to ask you how you like using P21S on the Lexus? I've seen some nice results from P21, so how would you rate it's shine and durability? Thanks man!

Mike

as MIKELS knows http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif, i differ with the popular notion that zaino is the best out there. in contrast, i use a similarly proven german two-bottle system called KLASSE. similar to zaino (acrylic formulation-no wax) but only 2 bottles are involved and when done right, looks as good or better than zaino for less money. like Zaino, KLASSE glaze can also be layered for greater shine each application.

hey Mike, i saw your question above about P21S. just this weekend i tried it on top of my KLASSE and the results were FANTABULOUS!! it's true what the experts say that nothing beats #1 grade carabuba for a wet wet wet look. eventhough Klasse and Zaino offer top notch shine and reflection, the P21S caranuba just coats that already great gloss with ultra wetness and depth.

Yes, foxbat is the thorn in our Zaino sides, the fly in the ointment, the monkey in the wrench.... http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif In all seriousness, Klasse is a good product, one of the better out there. But, not as good as Zaino... http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif

Thanks man for your P21 info! Like I said, I've seen some nice results, but I have my own suspicions about the product. I know it's one of the better carnauba formulations out there, but I wouldn't be using it on my (Zaino'd) car, thus my interest. Thanks again for sharing! http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif

I took a "believe it when I see it" attitude on Zaino, and when Andy (DOC212121) came over and polished a twelve-inch diameter spot on the 17-year old paint on my hood, I spent $60 and bought the Zaino claybar, two types of Zaino wax, the preconditioner, car wash, and the spray-on touchup stuff that makes the wax feel slick again after a wash.

Nope, I didnt believe it until I saw it. Once I saw it work, I re-did the whole car. I was ready to strip the paint off the car, but now the 18 year old paint looks good enough to last a couple more seasons.

It works.

Hi MikeLS,
The links works on my computer??? Anyone else unable to work these links.MikeLS try the links again. I changed them.
P21S on the Lexus is great stuff. The durabilty is not bad about 30 days but the shine is really good and deep. It is easy to apply and wipe off ( best results are achieve by wiping off before it dries). If I were using Klasse I would definitely be topping it with P21S. Hope this helps.

I too use Klasse. I've seen zainoed cars and was not particularly impressed. I still say a high grade carnuba like pinnacle's products provide a superior shine. However, for protection, nothing beats a sealant. I use klasse b/c it lasts just as long as zaino and is only one or two steps while zaino is more expensive and requires a whole lot of steps. I know how hard it is to try something that not many people here talk about.. but I'd reccommend the klasse above all else for protection and convience/easy of application.

FYI, Zaino has in most cases less steps than other products like Mothers or Meguairs. Zaino is a ONE step product currently using the ZFX.

The only time there is alot of steps is in the surface prep, but that should be done regardless of the wax/polish you use, IF you want the best results. After the prep it is very easy. Most all brands have their own wash, polish or wax, enhancer sprays, etc. But if you want the best, well, there is Zaino.

Nah, there's no minority...everyone's welcome here! If everyone used Zaino, then we'd all drive cars that look alike, which is why it's great that there are other choices out there if you want them. I've only met 1 total stranger in my area that actually uses Zaino, so I feel that makes us sort of unique.

In the end, it's all about having beautiful clean cars that we enjoy detailing and driving and that put 98% of the rest of the world to shame. Of course, if you use Zaino, that puts you in the 1% of ultra- http://web.camaross.com/bb/cool.gif and ultra-shiny cars out there... http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif (Sorry, couldn't resist http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif)

hey mike,

so then, if Zaino and Klasse > than 98% of shiny cars out there and Zaino occupies the next 1%, then that correctly places Klasse in the remaining (top) 1% http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif
