I saw what looked and sounded like a nice WS6 a short distance away. when I got closer to him, I noticed the unthinkable...
a double decker wing. the wheels were those ugly things that look like a big "S"
The light couldn't turn green fast enough...it was making me sick seeing it in front of me at the red...seemed like the longest red light I'd ever had to sit through

I agree, those wings don't look right without tons of performance stickers and a jacka$$ in the drivers seat.

the WS6 was worse. I can excuse a little bit of that stang ('cept the wing)

...Eclipse, I took the rear wing from it at the junkyard. I was thinking of using it on my truck to deflect air up and over the T/A when it is on the trailer. NOW... I think I will put it on the NOSE of Redbird to direct air over the entire car, reducing overall drag and gaining 5 MPH!
We'll see how many people follow me into this trend!!!
HInk  ;)

I'm not too far away from looking into a wing for my Formula, but it won't just be an ornament. Their useage is free in NASA's AIX road racing class and more downforce with very little extra drag is never a bad thing.
I'll make sure to send you some pictures after I put it on.
BTW, just finished removing my HVAC box, heater, and AC this weekend. Man, it sure does clean up the engine bay. It's about 55 lbs. all added up too.

Timberwolf, no I haven't made a cover for the hole in the firewall yet. I'll just use some thin aluminum from Home Depot or something. It should be easy.

Boy, have I got just the stuff for you. Check out my wheel and tire blowout thread. I've sold my Kumhos but the Nittos and Firehawk wheels have Trey written all over them. :) There's plenty of track day events going on around here and I'm telling you once you do it, a drag strip just won't hold the same excitement. Taking corners fast on the street just won't be the same either.
