cam install =spun bearing

i know this is advanced tech but i didnt get any answers from lt-1 tech.i just had a cam installed xe224/230 the car pulled 321rwhp as soon as i got home the car ran like crap an devolped a knock.i thought is was a pcm problem so i disconnected batt reset pcm,car started right up sounded good about 3-5 mins of idling it starts to knock.It only has 58,000 easy miles.why did the car run awesome pull a decent number than crap out,Thanks for any info

What is your rev limiter set at?
The reason I ask is maybe they over revved it on the dyno.

Was there enough oil in the engine?

Maybe something blocked the oil passage on the bearing.

A lot of things can cause a bearing to go, more than likely it was just a bad coincidence.

It looks to me like you got many replies in LT1 Tech, you didnt either try them or at least didnt acknoledge them.

It could be your opti from what you stated in your previous post, it could be a physical problem in the shortblock being damaged, etc.

Try some of the suggestions that you were given, and if you still have problems please post in LT1 Tech because general engine trouble shooting is not covered under Advanced Tech.
