Initial settings for Koni DA's?

I just got a great deal on a set of Koni DA's and am fixing to install them - would appreciate it if someone could suggest some initial settings for me. (Something comparable to the bilstein HD's) - springs are eibach pro-kit's, 1le swaybar in front and back.

Thanks,
Chris Bennight

I'm running DA front, SA rear, pro-kit with spring spacers, 35mm front, 21mm rear, 6pt cage, KBDDSFC, T2R diff, 17" firehawks on street and victoracers on autox. After extensive testing I'm running (from full soft) front- 1 click comp, 5 sweeps reb. Rear-1/2 turn reb. This is well balanced on the street and autox with slight low speed understeer in very tight turns and slight power on oversteer exiting. You should test extensively and keep good notes.

I have DA's, but I have stock springs, hence my car isn't lowered. I have the front DA's set to 6 sweeps from full soft on rebound, and either use full soft or +1 click on compression.

The rears I have set the same on compression, but rebound I have as 1 5/8 turns from full firm.

The softest compression on the Koni DA's will be firmer than the Bilstein's. I'm not sure about the rebound.

Any more opinions.. I will be installing theese soon...

So full soft and one click and that is a lot firmer than bilstein???

The DA's are better suited for roadracing. I'm not sure by how much, but the softest compression setting is stiffer than either the Koni SA's or the Bilstein's.

Call Sam Strano, or post on his discussion board @ www.stranoparts.com. He'll give you the whole scoop.

been using them for autox only and with the advice from Lee at koni ended up at 6 to 8 sweeps rebound on the front along with 3 to 6 clicks compression. he suggested to leave the rears alone with maybe a 1/4 of rebound if needed.

hope this helps

got the GC coilovers from Strano and right now using 1997 V6 camaro rear springs

the fronts come out to 500# inch and the rears are about 97# inch, the car was lowerd by removing the rear spring isolator and the front lowerd the same amount. about 3/4 inch total. also had to remove the spacer on the rear axle travel stop.

hope this helps
