Thursday June 12th, the track at Milan is rented again for all to come out and test/tune, and race their cars...
Costs are $30 per vehicle (ALL MAKES/MODELS WELCOME)
Spectators are FREE!
And yes, bikes are welcome. :)
Gates open at 5:30pm and we start running at 6pm until 9pm.

Redbird 06-06-2003, 10:32 AM ... Will at least ONE lane be prepped for soft DOT and Slick tired cars? I want to do some serious testing but I need traction to get accurate data. By the way, I am a slick tired car, my car doesn't peel the rubber from the starting line like TRUE street tires do!
I see this as an opportunity to get MORE than the TWO time trials I get at Milan on race day. HARD to work a new combo out with so few of runs. BUT... It is a waste of time if 'NO' track prep is done as car will spin well into 2nd gear even with 10" Hoosiers.

Yeah... I am hoping to hit low 14's with a strong tailwind.
Maybe if we tie my car to yours I can get another 12 second slip.
ltlhomer 06-08-2003, 08:40 PM I guarantee if we race my streets to you on dr's that you would anihilate me :-). Wait til you get your heads done though, then you'll be a force to reckon with.
Anyone think I can cut a 1.7x 60ft on 245/50 16" nitto dr's? If I can, then I'm pretty sure I'll see 11's on Thursday. If not, I at least want a 115+ trap. Sure that isn't a lot for some of you guys, but for a poor kid just outta high school on a budget it sure is a lot of fun :-).

94_Z28_ragtop 06-10-2003, 01:09 AM I might be down there in my '02 if the heads/cam/nitrous install is done on the 1994. I'll be in Michigan that whole week! I just hope the '02 can handle a few more 5K rpm clutch drops on the stock clutch and 10 bolt rear without grenading. :D
Edit: Doh! I just reread the date. For some reason I was thinking this was next Thursday. I guess that's what I get for thinking! :D No way I can make it this Thursday. I don't get home until Friday night.

ltlhomer 06-12-2003, 01:03 PM Maybe I'm an optimist but by the looks of the cloud movement on weather.com, by 2 or so it looks like all the clouds will be northeast of Milan. Right now they are just passing over it (I'm not weather man) but that has got to be a good sign :-). Check it out and see if you're a better meteorologist than me.

Birdie2000 06-12-2003, 03:17 PM lol Kev, it was just gonna be on street tires for the heck of it. It'll prob be like a 13 second run because it would practically be an ice rink. My dad was gonna bring his '29 just to see what it would run, but oh well. We'll more than likely go when they reschedule it. I'd like to see what you're gonna run, but from the sounds of your other posts you won't be making it to the track for a little while. :p

I think the Eastern Michigan Camaro Club (http://www.emcamaro.org/) regularly rents the track on the second Thursday of the month.
