where is the brake booster?

Im trying to track down this ticking noise I have, so I figured I'd try the old "pour some ATF into the brake booster" trick to see if its an exhaust leak. Just want to make sure Im doing the right thing. Someone please point me in the right direction...Thanks.

you are going to poor ATF in the brake boost to check for an exhuast leak

there are MANY easier ways to check .....

brake booster is that big concraption by the stering linkage... cant miss it

Dont do it.Odds are you will foul the plugs out.More than likely you are hearing the injectors or rockers.

sorry, I guess I should have been more specific....Another member suggested disconnecting the vacuum line @ the brake booster and using ATF to check for any exhaust leaks. Should I not do this? I had never heard of it before, but several people seemed to recommend it. The noise I have is ONLY under load, there is absolutely no noise at idle. What should I do?

i would just clean everything off, go for a ride and the wipe around with a white paper towel.

just look for an obious leak first. if its giong to leak its prob at some connection (y pipe, exhuast manifold gaskets ect)

or just stick you head under the hood for 45 min.. if you black out...
