Leather seats
I was blessed with a damn good Z28 with leather interior. The only damage is on the driver's side on the left, a small hole and a scratch, where one would have his or her elbow, and on the seat itself are some scratches.
I realize that with time and the location these are in the seat will eventually break apart in a horrible mess. Are there any *good* self-repair kits? If not, what is a decent price to get one seat repaired? And lastly, I hear alot of "Use armorall on your seats!" And "Shoot yourself if you start using armorall on your seats!". What is a good product to use on one's seats? I'm thinking armorall is not a good thing to use.
Thanks!

(Oh, and what are good towels to use on one's car?)

Well, I can't help you with repairing the leather, but I can recommend some leather protectors that aren't Armor All. (although I haven't had trouble with Armor all on the interior before).
I just bought some 303 Protectant before I put the Z away, it was very difficult to find, but it is very similar to the Meguiars protectant, I think that is called "Natural Shine."
But some of the best stuff I have ever used is called, "Tannery Car Care". It comes in a Brown aerosol (sp) can and I borrowed/stole
it from my Mom. I can't tell you how much it is or where I got it, but it is pretty good stuff.
I have the can beside me here and the label reads:
Manufactured for K & W Products, Bloomington, IN 47403
Questions? 1-800-423-9446
But before you go this route, try and find some 303 Protectant or Mothers, of the Zaino leather treatment. (I have never used it, but someone here will recommend it).

Well I've been experimenting with a few leather conditioners to get the 'right' look and feel to my seats. Armor All leaves my seats greasy and far too shiny for my taste. It doesn't really even seem to get them very soft. Turtle Wax Leather Conditioner makes them softer but leaves a duller shine, which I like. Not too blinding, but just right. Enough to notice that they're taken care of. Lastly, Saddle Soap. It takes about 1.5 hours to put on, wipe off, and rub to perfection. It leaves a very dull look, but does soften the leather quite a bit. Almost too much work.
No luck on leather repair kits. I was considering getting new seats in the future. Maybe even replacing them with the red/black leather seats after I get a paint job (black). 'course I'll have to look into a power seat for the passenger side--my girlfriend is almost too short to see over the dash.
Thanks,

I've always have good results from a product named Zymol. It's a two step process, first the leather cleaner, and then the conditioner. Works good, lasts long time. No fart sounds when you slip into the seat! Just my own personal opinion, though.

The Zaino system works like the Zymol, separate cleaner and conditioner.
It has worked very well on my Z28's leather door panels and Cadillac leather interior, and for the amount you have to use each time, is a good deal too.
No knowledge on self-repair kits, sorry.
