Front end rebuild

I am looking at this front end kit

Its $359 for the whole thing, I would do this myself, but I have never done some of it before, like the ball joints... I dont want to dive in over my head, so I am going to take it to a shop to have them installed. Anything else I should have done while I am re-building this? I am replacing the front shocks/springs as well. THX :)

Couple of things to consider: when my nephew was going to do the front end of his Z28, he condsidered a kit from pst, then got pricing from Autozone on individual pieces and it ended up cheaper with the Zone. Maybe it was because he didn't buy stuff like the tie rod adjusting sleeves and the upper shafts which usually are still in good shape and reusable (as his were) and because he went with stock replacements, not poly.

Which brings me to: he chose stock replacements cause a friend of his had a pst kit installed and it ended up being a tooth rattler is was so harsh. He just wanted his front end to lose the mushiness, he wasn't after a high performance road carver. If you don't mind the stiffness from solid hard plastic bushings, this shouldn't be a problem for you.

Only thing left is the centre link and steering box. Make sure there is no slop there. Also you may need some new bumpstops and spring isolators? I often dont use the isolators though.

Just did this to my 85 ElCamino. IMO it's not harsh at all. The bump stop were in the kit?
This would also be the perfect time to upgrade the sway bars.
