help!!!!! exhaust tipszman0069 02-02-2002, 02:33 AM okay, i need someone to tell me what to do, my exhaust tips are BLACK, and i mean black, they are the borla stainless steel tips(i have borla exhaust) and they werent cleaned from when i buoght the car (i assumed they were black on the inside), i have tried conventional soap/water, NOTHING it did nothing, not even a little spot, tried a little wire brush, nada,nuttin Kevin V 2002 SS 02-02-2002, 09:17 AM You'll need to use a metal polish. Any auto store should carry a couple of different kinds. It took me about an hour (I'm very thorough). Use some #0000 steel wool and Brasso. Wipe that off after gettin' off all the little tar boogers (fingernail works sometimes too) and then I finished it off with some Eagle One chrome polish.
