Took some new pics today after removing badges and molding, and several have asked for pics of my hood.

Cool, only thing I dont like is the ol plastic grille, seems you would replace that since you fixed everything else up. Anyway I dig the hood and the shaved look, car looks sweet. :D

 Mecham hood

How did that fit? CrkHedMat had that hood, but he hated the fit. He said it was such a horrible fit on his car.

The Mecham hood fit ok - took a little work, but I think not much more than any other aftermarket hood.

I thought about changing the grille out, but I have to have a front plate so I'm not sure what I can do that won't look like he!!.

Sorry about the intermittant site issues, I only have a free account so if it gets too much traffic they shut it down for awhile.

Thanks alot guys,

Jack

Looks good, just get some new wheels and you'll be set.

Interesting hood. Is it functional?

Car looks great!

The hood is functional as a heat extractor - not as a ram air ( I have CAI and a sealed airbox anyhow). Those are metal inserts in the hood, kind of like a wire mesh - it is all open underneath, drawing the fresh air in the front and pushing hot air out the back.

thanks man,
Jack

PC - the wheels will be here next week, will update the pics then. :-)
