Does it matter how cold it is when i am buffing?

Ok guys i bought my car about 3 months ago and never got around to even waxing it (i know that is stupid). it is now sitting outstide under a cover for storage, but i would like to buff it out. it definatley needs more than a wax job and it is black and has swirl marks. I am going to put it in my garage where i have a little heater. if i get it up to 40-50 degrees is that warm enough? does it even matter what the temp is when i am doing this?

40-50 degreez should be fine, but it'll just take a little longer for the wax to dry.
