well guys im 18, young, dumb.......yea. But i need advise from the guys that know what they are doing.

I have always wanted a camaro and now ive set my mind to it and im doing it.

I have 10,000 dollars for this whole ordeal. some of it i was thinking would go toward a down payment. now what i was wanting was and ls1 with low miles but a nice lt1 would work too but it has to have low miles. I want to have the nices fastest car on post. witch sounds like alot but if you were here to see the competion youd probably laugh. i will be driving the car everyday and probably put alot of miles on it. i want to have around 400 hp or more if it makes since. but i would like to run high 11's or faster if possible.

im a really good driver and have racing experience. alot of my friends have cars built to perform but do not know how to drive them so i acually do the racing in there cars, they just bet on me and thier car. but now its my turn.

i havent never used NOS and am kinda scared of it tearing engines up, so...but im willing to try everything once.

what do you think? thanks

There's definitely ways to find LS1's these days. For starters, I'd check www.ebay.com (saw a few nice cars there) and www.autotrader.com . After that, it's all about pocketing $$$ so you can pay for some mods. :D But ya gotta get the car 1st.

i would say get an ls1 or an lt1, as the ls1's are faster stock for stock and will be able to get more hp out of it than an lt1. lt1 parts are however quite a bit cheaper.

i'm not 18 :( but i was in the same situation as you 2 yrs ago.
maybe check the classifieds in your area. that way you can see the car's owner face to face and see the car up close.
i had no idea what an ls1 or lt1 was, just wanted a z28 with the newer front headlights (ls1)

if you find one, try to finance it thru a credit union. interest is usually less. keep re-financing it, i got mine down to 5.0%.
good luck... 10k is a lot to me!
