The more layers the better the shine and protection. I use the Z-6 ALOT, pretty much everytime after I drive it or even before if it is dusty. After that you may only need to do it one a month, maybe even less to maintaing it. I had over 60 coats on my 99 SS, which is a big reason it sold after being on display only about 3 hours, at the dealer I traded it in to, bought by a guy who came in to buy a vette. Zaino rocks!!! Oh, and the guy who bought my 99 SS is now a confirmed Zaino user. BUT, it does get addicting, I have over 20 coats on my SS, most including using ZFX.
