who has the highest mileage 3.8?
get this, i got a 96 3.8l that i bought a few months ago. the odometer says 174xxx, and i am 99.9999.....% sure that it has over 200,000 on it. the owner befor me had it rolled back, but we relized it before we bought it and made him bring the price down and put the miles back on it, which the last reading was 172000 on a smog, about a year before we bought it. and the car is almost completly stock. i replaced the bel, and altenator, had to have a soleniod in the tranny replaced and put in some sea foam, great stuff, and the car runs great! when i replaced the alternator i took the old one apart and the bushings were both worn down about 1/4", so its got to have a lot of miles on it. i need new injectors though, i believe they are either original or second set.

The 3.8L engine is very durable as shown here by some of our members. With regular maint. it will go a long way.
idle, do you have a 95 with a 3.8L? If your car is in good shape, the bottle won't hurt. Now if your car isn't in good shape, I would make the fixes first, then bottle up.
One tip...platinum plugs + nitrous =
My dumb friend with his Trans-Am found that out the hard way.

Nos
i have a 96 3.8 with slp cold air kit, dual exhaust, pacesetter headers and small bore, i am spraying right at 95 shot right now and i reall believe i can go on up to 100 or 110. engine is stomping c5 vettes and ss camaro's right now.
my car now has right at 134,765 miles on it. It has had all of its oil changes and tune ups on time. i did them personally so i know they were done right. the only thing about nos you have to watch out for in a 5-speed like mine, is miss shifting or spraying too early. other than that you should be ok. the v6's come with like a 9-4-1 compression so they can handle nos pretty well.
I just sold my '91 Buick Regal with a Series I 3800. It had between 350-400,000 miles. Had to estimate 'cause the odometer was broken. But it had 3 owners including myslef that commuted and put about 100 miles a day on it. It was a good car.
