Whats your EGT?Sparkz28 06-01-2003, 02:22 PM Most of the time when Im just driving around my EGT is around 800 deg. F..........under boost it will rise to around the 1200 to 1400 deg. F range....... These cars have HE pistons, like ours. I ran around town at around 1100-1250, and it was FAT at PT. On the highway, I was running 1350-1450. At WOT, shoot for 15-1550 at the end of the quarter, and of course watch for KR. That'll keep you safe. If you're forged you can run to 1600. You'll get great top end and a clean burn, but you're running closer to the line where detonation can set in, so watch your KR even closer. I never burnt a piston on these numbers, and it was told to me by a well respected DSM racer. I used his advice to program my PMS to 11.50s passes. Hope this helps, SC- PS - 800 is PIG rich. Are you sure you don't have a celsius-based meter? Otherwise I would think gasoline would be pouring out of your tail pipes. Convert the above the celsius if that is the case.
