when you wash your car, do u wash it with a spounge?

No, do not use a sponge, as a black car owner since 1987, I can tell you a sponge scratches and swirls paint. The sponge is synthetic (bad enough) but it has no nap to buffer the paint, get any grit caught between it and the paint and you got swirls. Best thing to use is an all cotton piece of terry cloth toweling or a cotton wash mit with long strands.

Go to AutoZaone (where I got mine) or Wal-Mart and get the Viking 100% Cotton Chenille wash mit. Those are the best and pretty cheap too. As Kevin said, sponges are total crap for paint.
